After I had stopped going by to church for a few years, I remember this experience. That day I had given my dog a half haircut. I wasn’t finished yet. She looked…odd with one half of her body basically shaved and one half not. Two neighborhood kids came over to play and as they left one of them looked me right in the eye. This child was aged five or younger. He said, “you made a dumb choice.”
Then he left.
I remember the impression I got that he was repeating something he heard. I went and talked to my kids and asked if they told him I made a dumb choice with the haircut on the dog. I assumed that’s what he meant. My kids said they did not say that. I forgot about the incident.
About a month later as I was waking up one day, (this is the time I often get revelation) that experience came back to my mind and the words, “he wasn’t talking about the dog.”
And then I felt I knew what this child was referring to and it had to do with me not going to church.
And it suddenly all made sense. The fact that it sounded like he was repeating something he was told.
I wondered why God told me that info. And I feel it’s because God has my back and wanted me to know what some people were saying about me.
