Perhaps Christ came not to be worshipped 

but to teach us who we really are

Perhaps any prophet who comes to this earth is not meant to be “followed” but to wake us up to the truth

Maybe we get confused between the boxes that hold light and the light itself

We may not realize how being taught to not complain or “criticize” others is a way for control to thrive

Sometimes we might believe God works in a hierarchy of control and power and even call that order when God is no respecter of persons

we may have been conditioned to believe silence makes us holy and speaking truth makes us rebellious

We don’t sometimes see that the very people and institutions who shame women for their bodies are telling on themselves and how they view women’s bodies and their very real lack of control in policing or regulating themselves towards it

we believe that people came from a man’s rib instead of a woman’s womb because a book written and modified by men said so

when the divine feminine is such a threat that she is removed almost entirely from holy scriptures and “sacred” writings

when we think standing up for a “cause” is more important than the people right next to us

when we confuse righteousness with stubbornness and control as sacred

when our minds are so blind and our hearts are so hardened that we truly believe we have the full truth and others are the ones who are lost and we condemn anyone calling that pride as deceived

when we doubt ourselves to follow any mortal person on this earth because we believe they can connect to the divine more than we can
